Perfusion is what keeps the patient alive during open-heart surgery | The Heart of the Matter
Modern open heart surgery would not be possible without the sophisticated Perfusion equipment operated by CPS personnel. During bypass, the heart is stopped in order for repairs to be made. To keep the patient alive, the Perfusion equipment takes the place of the heart and lungs, allowing blood to continue to flow during the operation. - All CPS Perfusionists are Certified Clinical Perfusionists through the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
- We adhere to the strict Guidelines of the American Association of Blood Banks (www.aabb.org) for Blood Bank and Transfusion practices.
- Our extended network allows for seamless back-up and support.
